Yo You Youth

Reconozco que este fanzine de Andreas Samuelsson, me ha sorprendido gratamente, porque no es lo que tengo acostumbrado a ver de él. Lástima que se haga un poco corto, y te deje la miel en la boca, porque las ilustraciones son fantásticas. Me sigo quedando con la del bote de spray. Desde luego, es interesante ver como muchos ilustradores se sueltan bastante cuando realizan este tipo de proyectos mas "pequeños".

I was very impressed with this zine from Andreas Samuelsson. I'm amazed cos it's very different as I have seen from him. The only problem: Is very short, and you still wants to see more... Illustrations are great, I like the Spray can one.

Very interesting to see how some illustrators change his style, and it is maybe richer, when doing some small projects like this.

Dave the Chimp

Si hay alguien a quien admiro dentro de la escena Street Art ese es Dave the Chimp. Lo conocía hace tiempo cuando lo incluyeron en el Zine "The Dilly" del que también hice una reseña aquí hará ya tres años.

En esta ocasión presento un zine con trabajos exclusivos bastante interesantes, siempre siguiendo esa linea que le caracteriza. Se trata de una edición limitada de 200 copias, que el artista realizó alrededor del año 2008, con trabajos suyos en papel, y otros en la calle.

Desconozco si está disponible aún, porque es una edición antigua, pero lo compré en concrete hermit, quizá puedas preguntarle a ellos, o directamente al artista.

If there's an artist I'd like inside Street Art scene is Dave the Chimp. I kwew him a long time ago when I saw his work at "The Dilly" zine. Also I was made a review here of that zine, about three years ago.

Now I want to present a zine with his own work, full of very interesting works, following his caracteristic style. Is a limited edition of 200 copies, made about the year 2008, that contains works on paper and street art works.

I don't know about if it's available, so it's an old edition. I bought at concrete hermit , maybe ask them or the artist directly.

Mike Perry (I)

Mike Perry es uno de mis artistas favoritos. Seguro que muchos conocéis sus libros recopilatorios, en especial, hand job.

Pero no resulta fácil encontrar libros sobre él. Casualmente encontré esta joyita en una tienda, lo cual me sorprendió mucho, ya que se trata de un fanzine de impresión digital, con un montón de trabajos, pero en ese formato grapado que tanto me gusta.

Es de agradecer que artistas de su talla, editen este tipo de joyas muchas veces mas interesantes que algunas ediciones mayores, con contenidos bastante manidos, por su inclusión en refritos de ilustradores y revistas. No digo que todos los trabajos de este libro sean inéditos, pero a mi desde luego no me sonaban la mayor parte.

Mike Perry is one of my favourite artist. I'm sure you know him for his great book Hand Job.

But is not so easy, to find books about his work. I was found this book on a shop, and I was impressed, so it is a zine digitally printed with a lot of works.

I like when great artist as him, would like to make books like this, sometimes more interesting as some bigger editions, always with the same contents, also included on magazines and illustrators compilations. I don't know if all the content is inedit, but I didn't know about most of them.

Poca información tengo de este extraño fanzine. Ni siquiera tiene un título. En la portada viene una especie de inscripción a primera vista egipcia, aunque ignoro si se trata del título.

Unas ilustraciones muy curiosas, es uno de mis favoritos.

Uno de los blogs que me parecen de referencia en el mundo de los fanzines, es el blog de P.M.H. artífice del magnífico fanzine "The dilly", y responsable de la distro que lleva el mismo nombre, de la que ya hemos presentado alguna obra.

Te recomiendo que te des una vuelta por el blog porque las referencias no tienen desperdicio.
